This is what I have so far based on what is posed on MSHSL.org and RaceberryJam.com

Let me know if you see any errors or people missing.

I am pretty confident about the girls as all the data is on RaceberryJam.com since the event started.

Great discussion. This got me interested in how MN stacks up against the rest of the country. The website polevaultpower.com has a list of the nation-wide records, both boys and girls. Looks like we have some work to do!

Since the national 8th grade record by Tommy Skipper of 15-6 is one inch lower than our state record I would completely agree with you.

As far as the girls go, we are doing well with a few over 12 and two over 13.

I was talking with Steve recently and we were trying to come up with ideas why we haven't had a 16' guy yet.  I would love to hear everyone's opinions.  We've had plenty of kids go 16+ post HS.

Updated with 2008 statistics.

Anyone have any ideas as to who we don't have any HS boys go over 16' in HS?  I am thinking it is because kids don't seem to train and focus on the vault year round.

For example, kids like Spandl and Gierut went 16+ pretty quickly once they got to college and focused on it year round.
