That does it for '07 Wednesday Nights.  See you at the street vault (8/11).  You should all sign up for that now  It is a lot of fun.  If you email Jamie tonight, I think you still get free admission to the Fair, free parking, and the cheaper vault registration ($30).  

Note--emailing is free.  If something changes and you are a no-show, it costs you nothing.




Wednesday Night Flights at Armstrong

What: Full Service Pole Vault Competitions

When: June 13, 20, 27 and July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8
--The pit opens at 4pm
--The pit closes at 8pm
, mosquito's are too thick after that
--All meets are pending the weather--A final call on bad weather will be made no later than 3pm meet day

What do you have to do?:
1) Check the weather and decide if it looks good enough to jump
2) Check FDA's website to make sure the meet has not been canceled--please don't call, we really will post it on the bulletin board
3) bring $10 cash, entry fee
4) bring your own water, food, etc.
5) bring your own poles if you want

What is provided: is a full service meet
1) You may use our Complete line of poles (//%22http://www.flightdeckathletics.com/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6%22)--you agree to purchase any poles you damage
2) We will have 2-3 paid workers running the meet, placing crossbars, and adjusting standards...paid by the entry fees
3) Any crossbar breakage is also covered by the entry fee (pole breakage is not)
4) We set up everything and put everything away
5) We will run a 10-jump meet
--too many people need to either go early or show up late to run a traditional meet.
--30 minutes of warm-up on the runway
--you get (10) bars at any height you choose
--0"/6" increments one week, alternating with 3"/9" increments the next week.
--the pits close at 8pm regardless--again the mosquito's get too bad

One more thing:
We usually go out for pizza afterward--all are welcome
