Hey everyone! I haven't been around since this summer, but I have still been thinking everyone involved with Flight Deck. I wanted to share that I recently learned more about treatment options and limitations for my back condition. I met with a neurosurgeon last week and he suggested giving up pole vaulting. A few years ago, I might have ignored the suggestion, but I realize now that vaulting could cause my vertebra to slip further resulting in permanent nerve damage. Obviously I'm pretty bummed not to be able to vault anymore. I will be coaching vault in the spring, so I'm excited to be involved with pole vault in some respect. As much as possible, I would also like to stay involved with Flight Deck. I just wanted to let you guys know what is going on with me. Hope to see you all soon!

Sorry to hear about your back.  I am sure it is pretty frustrating.  We would love to still have you around for coaching an moral support when you have time.  Where are you coaching?
