Alicia Rue - Armstrong

Pole vaulter Alicia Rue is soaring to new heights these days. On Saturday, the Armstrong senior cleared 13-feet-11/4-inch, by far the best vault in the state this season and one that qualifies Rue for U.S. Junior competition.

She is the first prep female vaulter to clear 13-feet in Minnesota this year. The state record is 13-feet-6 inches.

Alicia picked up where she left off, she cleared 13-feet-3 inches indoors. She also is one of the state's best hurdlers.

In a less publicized article, found in the Pequot Lakes Penguin, "Alecia Rue has high hopes for a 5 on the AP Physics test Monday May 8th."  Someday they will spell her name right.  Idiots.

Well Done Alicia!!!!
Smart, athletic, and pretty...you got it all and yes we are all jealous--and proud to know you.  Congrats kid
