Coach's Bio
Chris Milton, Armstrong High School Pole Vault Coach. Chris has coached at least one all state athlete in each season since he began coaching in 2002(9 total). Most notably, he coached the 2005 and 2006 girls state AA pole vault champion to an all time state meet record of 12-9 and a personal best of 13-3. Chris graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2001 with a BA in computer science. While at St. Thomas under the guidance of Kyle Cleven, Chris was a three time MIAC conference pole vault champion and finished second three times. Before St. Thomas Chris attended Minneapolis Washburn where he qualified for the state meet twice and was all state his senior year. Chris has a lifetime personal best of 16-0 in 2004. He is also USATF Level 1 Certified. Chris is currently working as a software engineer for a mortage technology company in Edina.
