Alicia Rue Wins NCAA Midwest Region Pole Vault Crown, Joined by Andrea Smith as NCAA Qualifiers
Minnesota sophomore Alicia Rue cleared a school-record height of 13 feet, 11 3/4 inches to win the NCAA Midwest Region title in the pole vault and secure a berth into the NCAA Championships. The Golden Gopher pole vaulters put on an impressive show as all four vaulters placed in the top eight while they all cleared 13 feet.
