I think it's a great idea.  I don't see why there can't be organized sports even though school's not in session.  I would imagine that many coaches would argue against this since they'd like their summers off.  However, a late enough start date might allow for additional sports/activities to be added to the school year and might provide coaches with additional $ earning opportunities.

Unbelievable record on both sides!  Well done.

What an amazing meet.  Michigan was favored to win, but the Gophers really battled today.  It was something to see!

Way to go guys.  Hats off to Brock jumping so well while also competing in the Heptathalon!

There are still a few tickets remaining for the Women's Big 10 Championships at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse this weekend.  UMN only hosts once every 10 years.  The pole vault goes off at 2pm on Saturday.  There are 10 entrants seeded at 13' or higher so it should be an exciting competition.

UMN women are at Notre Dame.  The men are at River Falls, but Steve won't be with them because he has grad school.

Steve & I will have a few kids at Stout.  Most of the men are going to Nebraska and most of the women have the weekend off.  Hope to see you there.

I thought you had girls running 1:54 based on your post which is an amazing time...and no, no one gives full rides for 2:15s.

Thank you for the photos.  It has definitely helped me format my Tuesday practice objectives.  It's good to know we've got room for improvement.  The alternative would be depressing.

Hats off to Jamie Steffen who put on a great event this weekend that really showed off our sport.  Everything went smoothly thanks to his hard work and planning and all the people who helped (Paul, Chris, Andrea, Laura, etc.).
It didn't hurt to have such high caliber performances as well (Alicia, Jackie, Dan, and Sam).  Pretty impressive vaulting all around.   A fun day!  I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next year.

Pretty awesome Alicia!  We knew this was coming, but great timing none-the-less.  Great end to the season.  Way to represent USA and MN so capably.  I can't wait to see you jump that high in person.
