Camps / Open pit vaulting in Bryon this Sunday 7/12

This Sunday, Byron will host an open vault for anyone who would like to attend.

It will be run the same as Monday Night Flights: http://www.flightdeckathletics.com/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=490

Pits will open at 7:00 p.m. with competition beginning at 8:00 p.m.

The pit is at the middle school (not high school) in Bryon. Go north at Kwik trip and turn left after the railroad tracks.

Be sure to check this site for weather cancellations before you leave.

Monday Night Flights 2009


We are ready to get these started once again! If you will be going, please check MNF's site (http://mondaynightflights.blogspot.com) for weather information. This will be posted by 3:00 pm on Monday.


Open pole vault competitions on Monday nights in June and July beginning after the state meet. All vaulters in SE MN are welcome to come and jump. This will also be a great chance to work on what you have learned at camp. We look forward to seeing many vaulters there. Read below for more information...


What: Open pole vault meets for area vaulters to practice and compete in a safe, relaxed atmosphere.

Who: Open to all vaulters in SE MN. Coaches are welcome to attend as well.

Where: Plainview HS pole vault pits. (NE of Rochester)

When: Monday evenings starting after the state track meet.

Dates:

June 8, 15, 22 and 29
July 6, 13, 20 and 27

Time: Pits will open at 4:00 pm for warm-up/practice. The competition will begin at 5:00 pm.

Monday Night Flights

What: Open pole vault meets for area vaulters to practice and compete in a safe, relaxed atmosphere.

When: Monday evenings starting after the state track meet.
Dates:
   June 12th
   June 19th
   June 26th
   July 10th
   July 17th
   July 24th
Note: No competition on July 3rd.
Time: Pits will open at      4:00 pm for warm-up/practice. The competition will begin at 5:00 pm.

Meet Specifics:
* Entry fee is $1.00
* Vaulters may enter at any height.
* 1 mulligan, (4th) attempt allowed.
* All NFHS and MSHSL rules will apply.

Equipment Details:
* Vaulters must provide their own poles and helmets for use in the competition. Be sure to talk to your coaches to make arrangements to use poles.
* Poles/Helmets can be stored at Plainview if you will be returning for future meets. Be sure to clearly label your own equipment with name/school.
* Runway is all-weather surface. Maximum of 1/8? spikes may be used.
* Bring chairs/blankets to sit on when not vaulting.
* Feel free to bring food/drinks.

Results / Future Meet Information:

Information regarding future meets will also be posted on this site. Be sure to check for the latest updates.

Inclement Weather:
In the event or rain, excessive wind or other inclement weather, the meet will be cancelled by 3:00 pm on Monday.
Notice of cancellation will be posted on the website (above).
